So, I was thinking of posing my dogs in reindeer antlers for a photo shoot. Cute right? Well, I was just thinking that since the season of Christmas is here, I wanted to get them prepared. I love their cute wittle faces staring at me with an "omg no you didnt just make me do this" look! Oh the agony of putting the antlers on them, then having to pose them just the way I want. It is such a struggle to try and make them obey.
Another agony I have to deal with EVERY DAY is Roxie's constant licking. It's one thing for her to be a dog and occasionally lick a toy or something. Of course not. She has to make a constant licking noise, and lick everything. She leaves spots all over the couch. She is probably the most annoying creature ever made. My parents hardly ever tell her to stop. I hate when I sit on one of the spots. It is one of the worst feelings in the world. I mean who wants to sit in something their dog just sat there and licked on. She licks her paws constantly too. For over ten minutes at a time she will lick something. I get yelled at for telling her to stop.
My dog has an obsession with licking the other dogs' ears. She gave Abby an infection, and Roxie almost has one. She doesnt understand though. At least she doesnt just lick on everything constantly. I swear it is the most annoying thing in the world.
Sometimes dogs do stuff to annoy you. Well that is what I believe at least. I can get stressed out over Roxie, and I get yelled at for not wanting her to do things. At least I dont have very long to stay in my house. Then I wont have to hear her annoying ways. Eventually I will take my dog with me too.
Eventually too I will breed Molly. It will be one of my life's jobs. Keeping the standards high, and keeping her happy. She is my doggie, and I want to be able to train several of them, to love them all and to keep her for as long as she will live. Even though sometimes Roxie may annoy me, I will have to deal with it and other such annoying things as I become a vet. I will devote my life to animals of all sorts, and take care of them. I will enjoy not having to deal with Roxie though, even though in my heart I love her.
I wish the dogs a happy long living life though. I hope they are loved throughout the span of their days. All the dogs deserve the best life. And so do others. I wanted a shelter pup, but unfortunatly her breed was too hard to find. Expecially since we couldnt go all the way to Texas etc. But I love her dearly, and I want her to stay just as happy as now.

Dogs in a winter wonderland
So the beautiful thing about winter coming up is the fact that snow starts falling on the ground. And all my dogs love to run through it. Every year, the snow and my dogs mix, leaving wet footprints all over our hardwood floors. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching them run through prancing in the snow. But the bad thing is, if we let them run through and leave tracks, then our floors could possibly be ruined. Every time they run out we have to wipe them off. The most adorable site to see though is your canine running through the snow, or watching it fall and not knowing what to do. Another good thing about having a dog in winter is that they can keep you warm. Of course they are good for alot more things, but still its one of the many things they can do. It's also kinda funny when you put presents out and they either sniff at them or completly destroy them. They just dont understand that it isnt for them. And then it's sad watching their cute little puppy faces staring up at you, so you want to give them a treat. So far Molly has been really good around our stuff, not tearing it up or anything. We put up totes in front of our living room so they cant go into the other room anyways. The dogs get excited when we start our anual decorations for Christmas. They get presents too every year, and we say Santa and Abby jumps up and gets excited. She has watched so many shows with him on it and we always say it along with toys and stuff so she knows who that represents, or what it represents. You can say she "believes" but she is just excited for all the toys she gets. I guess dogs are smart in alot of ways. Understanding what alot of things mean. They arent dumb mindless animals, and i believe that they are capable of thinking, and even more understanding than we think they can. They have hearts, and can do some amazing things. And maybe some things are fantasy, but they understand what you are talking about. If you spell words they can figure out what you mean. Even if you dont say them all the way they understand what you were going to say. They bond to us easily, and love us unconditionally. They may tear up your stuff or gnaw on your arm, but they can be the best friend that you were always searching for. They are excellent cuddlers, and they can learn fast. Being amazing companions, why not spoil them rotten? Treating them like our furry babies? They deserve it dont they? They are always there for us, helping us, and we learn from them.
Dogs are amazing. They are fun to watch, and fun to play with. They have alot to offer us, and we have alot we can give to them. Make winter fun for them. Help them to believe in Santa, and to let them explore the vast winter wonderland.

Finally!!!!!
Abby finally got her allergy test results back. If you look outside that is basically what she is allergic to. Trees, grass, leaves, you name it. And she is suppose to be a dog! Apparently the winter should take care of some of those problems, but she still has to get allergy shots. No more steroid shots because it could kill her. She has been getting better as it has been getting colder. We thought she might be allergic to dogs or something like that, but no. I have heard of humans being allergic to grass and the sun etc, but not a dog.
Molly and Abby are starting to get along better now. They actually play with each other and go outside together. Popsicle is more of a play buddy for her though. Roxie is basically getting left out of the mix because she cant play very well anymore. Abby is happier because when we dont want to play with her Molly does.
So our dogs are starting to get happier. The only one that hasnt been having a good time is Spike. He has been having trouble with his leg, which apparently the bone is bigger on one leg than the other. The vet said it could either be a torn muscle, arthritis, or a small possibility of bone cancer. She also said we shouldnt put him under (which is the only thing we could do to see what he has) because he would probably not come out of it. I mean considering he is eleven. We have to give him special liver treat medicine things. Of course Abby hates it when we give him attention and tries to start fights with him. He hasnt been able to really fight back though. Right now we are just giving him all the love and attention he deserves to make him have a happy life.
Training is starting off really strong. Abby and Roxie are showing Molly the commands I am giving, and she is catching on pretty quickly. Treats really help her focus. She is also learning some bad behaviors as well from Abby. Her begging for food, which she basically just climbs all over me trying to get to it. She also doesnt like it when I pet my other dogs, and pushes them aside so I will pet her instead. She is starting to act like a little princess, and I dont want her to act like Abby.
Molly had her first bath with us. She ended up getting dirty again so I had to wash her yet again with oatmeal shampoo. She is just like Spike in that she likes to dig. She had so much dirt on her nose and paws. Abby just looks at her like she is crazy, and Roxie doesnt really go outside very much. Popsicle likes to drool all over her fur, and I have to brush it so it wont get crispy.
I love my dogs with all their wierd personalities, and I hope they continue to be that way.

Life with a new puppy
So five dogs may sound like alot, and may give some people a heart attack, but that is how my life is. Last Sunday we picked up my beautiful red merle blue eyes Australian Shepherd. Molly is a really sweet two month old puppy born on August 22 (same as my mothers birthday). The journey to Missouri, well the one that was only suppose to take a total of twelve hours took seventeen. The breeders we got her from are so sweet, and their little pups are so adorable! She tries playing with the puggles, and they dont know what to do. Roxie is used to being the baby of the house, and we thought Roxie would really take to her. Roxie is normally really good with stuffed animals, often carrying them around like a baby. We just couldnt believe that Roxie didnt want to have anything to do with her. Abby doesnt really want to play with her either, but she was curious for awhile. Molly imediately took to Zach, which all my animals are in love with him.
We found out already that our puppy is a thief to our puggles, and doesnt like tags on anything. She was also extremely shy when we brought her home. Abby of course was very outgoing when we got her and turned out to be a total brat. But I love them all anyways.
Eventually as the puppy days fade, Molly will be an outside dog. Until then the little pink nosed pup will stay inside from the cold.
The true training will begin this weekend as I will start her basic training like sit. She has learned to go through the dog door after watching Abby and Roxie go through it several times. Trust me its alot easier than having to carry her there and back. She isnt heavy but she still weighs enough to get a sore arm after awhile.
Its very hard having a new puppy when I have to go to school throughout the week. I cant always be there for her and it makes me feel bad. I do love my new little baby as well as my other animals. I am just really thankfull that my mom can puppysit when I cant be there.
Again, which shouldnt be a surprise now, but Abby still doesnt have her allergy test results back. She is doing better though. Its ridiculous of how long its been but apparently they dont care enough to tell us. I am just so glad that my doggies are doing ok and feeling good.
Hopefully all my dogs will adjust to my new puppy, and that she will adjust to living with us. Maybe eventually we will breed her. I was thinking about using the money we make on the puppies for college. The people we got her from did the same thing for their kids, and it is a really good idea. I just hope that she will like her new home and for the years to come stay happy. As for our other dogs, I just hope they can put up with her.

Bringing in a new member of the family
So basically my dogs have been crazy. Abby still waiting for her allergy results, Roxie barking at non existant things. Abby had to get a bath and she had scabs all over her body. She had been scratching and biting at her fur so badly that she had all those sores.
I am also very happy to say that we are getting another member of the family. We are going down to West Plains Missouri on Sunday to get a new puppy. Six hours there and six hours back that we have to drive. It is a beautiful red merle australian shepherd with bright blue eyes. They named her Cinderella, and I'm going to name her Melody Lynn. Eventually we will breed her, even though I was really against the whole idea thinking about all those shelter dogs and all. The thing is, if I bred her it would be good for the breed. A lot of people show dogs in the shows and stuff, and that would be a great reason. Sometimes it seems irresponsible to breed dogs, like I said because of shelter dogs, but a lot of people search for these dogs, even before they are even born.
I'm really hoping that my other dogs will like her. That is the bad thing. Because of the long drive over there, and my dogs having anxiety problems, I cant take them with us to introduce the dogs. The breeder is really nice, and there is another person from Illinois that is getting one of thier dogs too so we are going to bring it back with us and take it to them. Apparently it is a girlfriend for their other Aussie. Apparently they trust us enough to bring their dog to them, which we are trustable. I just keep thinking about the long drive we are going to have to take considering no other dog of this color is available anywhere really. The next closest dog of the same color ect is in Texas, and that is even further away.
On Saturday we are going to have to get supplies for the puppy. Get all prepared before we bring her home. Dog clothes, stuff for her to play with ect. It is so exciting knowing I will be picking up my puppy in two days.
Abby and Roxie knew yesterday that I was sick, and tried their best to make me feel better. Going home after lunch made me upset, but I knew I couldnt stay. The puggles can sense whenever I am feeling sick, sad, and happy. They respond differently too to the different moods.
Anyways, it is very exciting this weekend for the new puppy. Hopefully everything will run smoothly so that we can get a happy ending. This is my first pure bred dog, and it makes me happy knowing she will be mine. I will train her to be polite, and hopefully I will get to take her places. Until then I hope today goes smooth too.

Dogs Again
Abby and Roxie have really been pains in the butts lately. They never shut up, and when it is six in the morning they are up. Then when they get up they have to bother me and bark and everything else to make sure that I dont go back to sleep. Trust me, it isnt fun.
So Abby yet again doesnt have her allergy testing back. They said it was suppose to only take ten days for it, yeah right. More like a kazillion years. She is getting really annoying because she always wants us to itch her tail and the red parts of her, and she wont let us do anything else at that time. For example, my mom was sitting on the couch typing something and Abby got up there and started swatting at her. She told Abby to get down, and Abby decided to smack her laptop. My mom had to pick her up and put her on the floor because she wouldnt move. I understand Abby's pain but she shouldnt be a pain in the butt to us.
Roxie is pretty much most of the time a really good dog. She barks a lot even when there is nothing to bark about, but she isnt as annoying as Abby. Roxie just likes a cuddle here or there and then she is pretty much satisfied. The only really annoying part of Roxie is her constant licking. She likes to lick her paws a lot, and you can hear her. She also likes to lick the couch, and sometimes I wont realize there is a lick spot on there, and I sit on it. It is one of the worst feelings in the world. Expecially the hearing her lick part, because it gets so old.
The other day my mom and I were picking up my boyfriend from his house. Well as soon as everyone walked in the door, Abby went to him first. She just wishes she could have him. I dont blame her either because he is pretty amazing. I think dogs know who the really wonderful people are.
Abby was kind of funny last night. Every time we eat as a family, I want the dogs out of the room, and when Im done they can come in. Well Abby decides to jump on my moms lap and bug her for food. Mom was about to eat a french fry, and Abby took it. Also, like a week ago I had a poptart. Well I wanted to tease Abby with it so I waved it in front of her face, and she smacked it out of my hand. Guess I cant tease her anymore.
Dogs are pretty smart, yet annoying. Ours are extremly disobedient, and like to do things their own way. The only real time they will actually do everything we say is when they are truely sick. Otherwise they still dont really listen to us. Maybe we should take them back to puppy school..

My dogs are pests
Do you know the feeling if like one of your brothers or sisters starts bugging you when you are trying to do your homework? Well my dogs like to do that all the time to me. Every time I have a book open, Abby likes to try to swat it out of my hands. It irritates me a lot, because she knows better than that. When I work on projects, Abby and Roxie are right beside me. Abby sometimes tries to step in my glitter glue, and she likes to make me yell at her. She knows that when I do projects she is to stay completly away from me. Abby literally chewed up part of my homework before as well as ripped my paper from stepping on it. She is one of those dogs that apparently doesnt learn when to stay away from a certain situation. I mean she hears me telling her no, but maybe she only hears what she wants to. I still love her as much as any dog owner loves thier dog, but she has as serious problem with homework.
So my dog still hasnt gotten her allergy test back. Weeks have went by, and yet we still havent gotten word of it. I still feel bad for Abby because her skin continues to get even redder than before. We are hoping she wont get another staph infection. She has to keep taking medicines to try to help her calm down. If I were in her state, I would probably start chewing my legs off, and I am really surprised she hasnt yet. She takes her anger out on everything that is in her path, including my mom, my dad, Roxie, and the outside dogs. She has been really ticking off our outside dogs, and she has been trying to chew on Roxie. When we itch Abby by her tail she starts to gnaw on Roxies ear, or our fingers. Even in the morning she will be really itchy and she will start randomly barking. It makes me sad seeing her like that, but all we can do is still wait on her results.
Roxie likes carrying her toys like a baby. She has become real attatched to her stuffed football. Abby ended up taking it outside to make her upset, and I had to bring it back in. I feel like a slave for the dogs because they cant do alot of things by themselves. You have to feed them because they dont have thumbs, and you have to carry stuff for them too. Why cant dogs get thumbs so they can do almost everything on their own? A question that no one may ever be able to answer. Maybe someday they will have actual futuristic robots to do everything for our dogs. Like robots to walk and feed your dog, and others to clean up after it. Wouldn't that be nice? I would like to have that now so I wont have to constantly tend to the dogs. Well it feels like its constant. Anyways, it is time for my dogs to go to sleep.
