Abby and Roxie's play time
Abby and Roxie have thier moments every day, and every day, I learn something new about them. I do love my dogs (even when they get annoying, which is definately alot). So I was sitting in a chair in my backyard (because sometimes I just get bored), and my dogs are first walking around the yard. Then my dog Roxie decides she has to bark at our very large dogs (which could eat her). Abby of course gets jealous, and decides to push Roxie (like moving her over away from the dogs). So Roxie decides to start chasing Abby, and they have their fun time. The leg and tail biting was all fun and games until Abby got sick of it. So, afterwards, they have to go to the bathroom. Some dogs are more territorial than others, which is very prominent in Abby. Abby is territorial over everything. Anyways, Roxie goes to the bathroom, Abby goes over it. Then the process was repeated. I mean, I know they have to be like that (knowing their personalities) but really? Why can't one over the other be enough? This may seem like a wierd thing to talk about, but it was funny that my dogs couldnt decide which one had more dominance. They sometimes do that on walks too, but instead of over marking the same spot, one has to lead the walk. Even if I get in front of them, one of them has to go in front of me. They even have to make sure they get the last bark when they are barking at a squirrel. Sometimes it's like they train you, and your the dog. Maybe we live in their world. They control the leashes, and train us the tricks so they dont have to lift a paw. Sometimes I wonder if Abby will take over the household, and some dog leader will trap us and use us as slaves. This seems off topic, but if you think about it, dogs are smarter than we think, so maybe they do have leaders besides themselves. Maybe Abby and Roxie are leaders that can't tell me that they can really talk. Or maybe they would get hurt for telling us they could talk. Or maybe they are really aliens or something from some planet (even though I know that would be absolutly impossible). I have wierd hypothesis about what dogs really do in their spare time too. Sometimes I wonder if they do have conversations, and if they make fun of us for thinking they cant understand us. Maybe dogs can read novels of their ancestors, and maybe they know more than we know. I think my dogs can understand every word I say. That's one of the interesting things about them. And, just maybe, their dominance is a way of telling us they are leaders, or in their eyes, they lead us. I know Abby and Roxie are funny and sometimes outrageously annoying, but they are still fun to talk about.
